Built by a creator,
for creators.
Creator Rates exists because sponsorship pricing is needlessly opaque. Brands know what they pay. Agencies know the going rate. Creators are left guessing — and that information asymmetry costs them money every single month.
We built a market benchmark that's actually fair. Not a pooled average dominated by whoever has the biggest list. Not a survey from three years ago. A live, peer-banded benchmark — grouped by platform and audience size — so a 5,000-subscriber newsletter is compared to other 5,000-subscriber newsletters, not to a 500,000-subscriber one that makes the market look unachievable.
The methodology: one creator, one vote. CPM on delivered audience (opens, views, listens) — not clicks, which half our creators don't track. Percentile bands, not a single number. Confidence flags when data is thin.
I'm Jonny Elwyn — a video editor, newsletter writer, and YouTuber. I built this because I kept seeing creators undercharge, including myself. Sponsorship income is one of the best revenue streams available to independent creators; it shouldn't require a network or an agent to access fair pricing.
Creator Rates is free to use. You give us your rates; we give you the market. The more creators who submit, the better the benchmarks get for everyone.
