actually charge.
Real sponsorship fees from 391 newsletters, podcasts, YouTube channels and websites — grouped by audience size, so a 5,000-subscriber newsletter is compared to other 5,000-subscriber newsletters, not to Morning Brew. Add yours and see exactly where you sit.

One creator, one vote. We measure what you charge per 1,000 people who actually open, watch or listen — not clicks, which half our creators don't track. We show you the range creators your size charge, not a single number. And when we don't have enough data to be sure, we say so.

Who is Creator Rates for?+
Any creator who takes paid sponsorships — newsletters, podcasts, YouTube channels, or websites. If you've ever wondered whether you're charging the right amount, this is for you.
How does the benchmark work?+
We compare you only to creators on your platform with an audience your size. Within that group we find the cheapest quarter, the middle, and the most expensive quarter — and show you which one you're in. We use the middle rather than the average, because one huge creator would otherwise drag the average up for everybody.
What do I need to submit?+
Your platform, audience size, publishing frequency, sponsorship fees (high and low), and recent performance data (opens/views, clicks, conversions). It takes around two minutes.
Is my data kept private?+
Yes. Your name, email, and individual submission are never shared or published. Only anonymised, aggregated benchmark data is used in comparisons.
What does 'effective CPM' mean?+
It's your fee divided by the number of people who actually opened, watched, or listened — multiplied by 1,000. So a $500 sponsorship delivered to 5,000 opens = $100 per 1,000 readers. It's the metric that lets you compare fairly across different creators and platforms.
How do you decide whether I'm charging too little?+
We work out what you charge per 1,000 people who actually see the sponsorship, then line that up against everyone your size. If you're in the cheapest quarter, you're below the going rate. In the middle two quarters, you're at it. In the most expensive quarter, you're above it. If we don't have enough creators your size yet, we say so rather than guessing.
What's the annual upside number?+
If you charge less than the going rate, we work out how much more you'd earn per year — at your current sponsorship volume — if you matched it. It turns an abstract comparison into a concrete number. It assumes your last three months are typical of the year, which is why we show it as a range.
Is Creator Rates free?+
Yes, completely free for creators. Add your rates and get the full benchmark report.
